The Elevator Bearing Blocks family offers reliable, versatile solutions for creating linear motion in elevator systems using MAXTube. Both the original Elevator Bearing Block and the Clamping Elevator Bearing Block provide teams with the flexibility to design efficient, high-performance elevators within the REV ION Build System.
The Clamping Elevator Bearing Block (REV-21-2636) improves upon the original design. Clamping onto the sides of MAXTube, it enables mounting along any length of a 1in side of MAXTube. It features integrated nut pockets for adding steel threads if the aluminum ones wear out or if access to screw heads on the same side is desired. With a reduced tube spacing offset of 0.5 inches, it provides an overall more compact linear motion solution, while a large one-sided keying feature prevents alignment issues. The mounting hole pattern follows the REV ION standard, with two additional mounting points to reduce twisting over time. Enhanced with larger bearings and dual face-contact bearings, this block delivers nearly double the dynamic load capacity of its predecessor, making it a robust yet flexible option for teams incorporating custom parts or maximizing stiffness.
