SPARK Motor Controller

Before 2020 FRC Kickoff

The SPARK Motor Controller is a workhorse motor controller used for FRC, known for its toughness, ease of use, and affordability. This past year we took the technology and gave it an upgrade to create the SPARK MAX Motor Controller. While many teams are excited for SPARK MAX due to the introduction of brushless motors to FRC, the SPARK MAX also functions as a PWM brushed motor controller, much like the original SPARK.

If you need a motor controller that is currently available, we recommend teams take a look at the SPARK MAX as an alternative. We will build a set quantity of the original SPARK Motor Controller for the 2020 FRC season, and will not be restocking the product during the 2020 FRC Season if the product sells out.

The REV Robotics SPARK Motor Controller is an inexpensive brushed DC motor controller designed to give FIRST® Robotics Competition teams more bang for their buck.

The Spark features 60A continuous current with passive cooling, bi-directional limit switch inputs for smart mechanism control, an RGB LED status indicator, and a button-activated brake/coast mode.
